Music

Haven't done this for a while. A song for anguished Kara:

The tone of Morcheeba at this point; their balance of mood, vocals and the slightly, if not surreal, but blurred edges, are fantastic.

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I'm soaked after running through the rain to a coffee shop but as I'm in flip-flops (and I've checked that's a transatlantic noun) and a beach dress, all is good.

Okay, the point of this post (and I know most of mine don't have one :P) I'm writing angsty teen!Lee and I need some angsty teen music. I've already got Garbage, 'I'm Only Happy When it Rains,' and[livejournal.com profile] in_the_blue suggested The Eurythmics for 'Here Comes the Rain Again,' and The Cure, because, well, it's the frakkin' CURE!  Right, so ppl, angst me up with your teen years!

(Warning - if I become stroppy and uncommunicative over the next few weeks, you'll know why! *grins*)

Love you all!

ETA: in_the_blue also suggested Morrissey... Lee would SO be into him. We also now have Tears for Fears and Echo and The Bunnymen - Killing Moon.

This is actually an awesome playlist. Like, it needs to be a car mix!  Mixed Tape Time! (Though not as much fun, my car only has a CD player and it's not the same.)

I know this song is Buffy/Angel, but when writing tender and confused Kara and Leoben (e.g. Don't Speak, or Morning,) this is my 'go to' song.

Full of Grace )

ETA: This and ANYTHING by Clannad; 'I Will Find you,' specifically.  And now [livejournal.com profile] deborah_judge and [livejournal.com profile] hearts_blood have got me started elsewhere with Loreena McKennitt on some songs I've never heard before. *Smiles softly*

(Sigh, I should not post when tired.  Now typo fixed.)
